Discussion Boards

Updated on

The Discussion Board settings in the Account Manager allow System Administrators and Super Users to customize certain settings and system behaviors related to Discussion Boards in your instance of Leo.

Path: Admin Toolbar  > Advanced > Account Manager > Modules [expand] > Discussion Boards [expand]

The following settings can be used to customize Discussion Board features:

  • Max Days: This is the number of days that your Users will be prompted to respond to a new Discussion entry.
    • Users will still have the option to look at all new Discussion entries, regardless of how old they are. The default value is 90 days (shown as "No Value Assigned").
  • Future Days: Discussions can be started before the actual date of the Course or Event it is tied to. The default value for this setting is 7 days.
    • This option will determine how soon to alert Users of future Discussions that have already started.
    • For example: an Event is scheduled for a week from the current day, but someone has started a Discussion. Do you want people to see this Discussion in the list of current Discussions?
  • Reminder Test Mode: This option will put the nightly Discussion reminder routine into test mode and no reminders will be sent.
