How Duty Hour Violations are Calculated
Duty hour violations are calculated based on the average number of logged duty hours within a rolling two-week period. A violation is triggered when a learner’s average logged hours exceed 80 hours during that two-week period.
The system reviews the total logged hours for each applicable two-week period and calculates the average to determine whether the threshold has been exceeded. If the total is greater than 80 hours, a duty hour violation is recorded.
