Faculty: Event Screen Overview

The Event Screen is the central portal for all things related to an Event. This is also where Students and Faculty can view the basic information for an Event, download materials, participate in Discussion Boards and read Event Announcements.

Access an Event Screen from the Calendar by clicking on the Event.

Find an Event at the Section Level by following this

Path: Section Level Screen > Events > View > All Events

  1. Event Screen Menu: People, Assessment, Discussion, Settings [Gear] and Screen Help
  2. Event Tabs: Materials, Messages, Mapping
  3. Event Information and Description
  4. Materials Upload Tools and Download Tools

NOTE: The menu links at the top of the Event screen may differ based on your specific Role in the System. Faculty will have more options in Events where they are the assigned instructor. Administrators will have more links than Students.

Materials Tab

The number in red indicates new documents. Documents in bold have not been downloaded

Messages Tab

This will display all Event messages and announcements. Your Inbox will also receive this Event Announcement.

  • Click the link to read and reply to the Announcement.
  • After you have read the Announcement you may hide the announcement by putting a check in the box.

Mapping Tab

At the Event level the Mapping Tab is organized by categories.

Mapping can be hidden from Students.

Event Information Screen (3)

Info/Description

The Event screen also displays the location, date and time range, instructors, Course Directors and Course Coordinators and a Event description. Attire and Mandatory Attendance will be displayed on this screen.

TIP:  Clicking on the Instructor's name will give you their contact info.

Location Detail

The location detail can also display a Google Map of the exact location.
