The Patient Encounter Tracking (PET) module is used to collect Diagnoses, Procedures, and Duty Hours for Students who are interacting with patients, typically during Clinical Rotations. This data is collected by Course, and can be viewed at the Course level, as well as longitudinally (i.e. across Courses) for a specific Student.
Below you will find a step-by-step guide on how to set up PET correctly to allow Students, Faculty and Staff to utilize this module in Leo.
Path: Admin Toolbar > Course Management > Course Settings > Courses > Course Types > Select Academic Year
Enable PET for specific Course Types
Once you have determined which PET Data Fields to track for the Program, the Course Type needs to have the PET Flag set to Yes.
- Click the Name (edit) of the Course Type you wish to add PET functionality
- Yes= Link all Course Types to PET
- Save Record
