Leo User Guide

Long Event

Updated on

After the February/March 2024 update to Events in Leo, we would discourage you from adding new Long Events to Leo. This update will bring together the features of Long Events and Regular Events in Leo into a new, modern user interface. Users will be able to create events, all-day events (that span one or more days), or events that start on one day and end on the next.

If you have questions about the new Events user interface, please contact the Leo Administrator at your institution.

The Long Event, settings in the Account Manager allow System Administrators and Super Users to customize certain settings related to Long Events in your instance of Leo.

Path: Admin Toolbar  > Advanced > Account Manager > Modules > [expand] > Long Events [expand]

Use the following settings to customize Long Events features:

  • Display Student-faculty: This setting enables the ability to display all Student-Faculty assigned to the Long Event in the General Information screen.
  • Allow users to hide Long Events and Long Event Assignments/Exams: This allows Students to hide Long Events and/or Assignments/Exams. NOTE: Assignments and Exams must be completed first.
  • Allow unenrolled faculty to view Long Events. Now all Faculty can view Long Events even if they are not assigned to them.
