Preparing for a Course Lottery

The Course Lottery Tool allows Students to rank preferred Course selections that are available for which they can be enrolled. Examples of this may include Clerkships, Clinical Electives or General Electives.

In order to prepare the Leo system for creating a Course (Site) Lottery in which students can participate, there are several key things that need to be known and generated in the system.

This includes:

  • A list of campuses or sites at which students will rotate for each clinical clerkship program. You many bulk import these Courses or use the Registrar feeds at your institution.
  • The rotation or Block dates for each rotation in each clerkship program
  • The maximum availability (# of students) for each campus/site per rotation for each clerkship program
